QUEENS OF THE NORTH TOURNAMENT
PLAYING RULES
Registration
All teams must be affiliated to their local county FA
All players must be registered at the start of the tournament via the player registration form section of the website. Failure to adhere with this could lead to your team being disqualified from the tournament.
Players should be registered on the FA Whole Game System OR Have identification at hand to prove age in case questioned.
Failure to provide identity may lead to the team or player being disqualified.
Players can only play for the team they are registered with – any team found guilty of playing the same player for more than one team will be automatically disqualified.
Squad Sizes
U7s & U8s – 5 a side – Max 10 players
U9s & U10s – 7 a side – Max 12 players
U11s & U12s – 9 a side – Max 14 players
U13s & U14s – 11 aside – Max 16 Players
Girls Academy Players
No academy players / Girls C.O.E are allowed, any team found to be fielding an academy player, will be disqualified from the event at whatever stage
Substitution Rules
3 Substitution slots per game allowed.
Referee must be notified and ball out of play at time of sub
Point Scoring System
League games – 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.
Game Duration
Match lengths are always dependant on Your Format & number of teams in a group. See below predicted game time for this event.
Under 7s & 8s: 10 to 12 minute games
Under 9s & 10s: 12 to 15 minute games
Under 11s & 12s: 15 or 20 minute games
Under 13s, 14s & 15s: 20 minute games
Qualification to next Round
Football Size
Under 7 – 10: Size 3 ball
Under 11 - 14: Size 4 ball
Offside Rule
There will be no offsides for U7s – U10s.
U11s – U14s offside rule applies as per FA Rules.
It is the sole responsibility of the match official for offside decisions.
Retreat Rules
At goal kicks the opposition MUST retreat to the halfway line U7s – U10s.
U11s and above no retreat rule.
Quick goal kicks can be taken before retreat at goalkeeper’s discretion.
All free kicks: the opposing team must be 5 yards away from the ball U7s – U10s.
U11s – U15s the opposing team must be 10 yards away from the ball
Back Pass Rule
Back pass rule applies to all age groups (ball cannot be handled by the Goalkeeper following aback pass)
Discipline Action
Any player sent off will NOT play again in this tournament.
All misconduct/discipline will be reported to the relevant County FA as per FA Rules.
All bookings and send offs will be reported by the referee.
Tournament Sin Bin offence is half of the duration on the game.
Foul and abusive language and/or violence will not be tolerated.
Spectator misconduct will not be tolerated
Racism will not be tolerated
Body Shaming will not be tolerated
PLEASE SUPPORT THE REFEREE – THEIR DECISION IS FINAL AND SHOULD NOT BE CONTESTED.
